What Worktimeatlas is for

Worktimeatlas provides free calculators and practical guides for work-time arithmetic. The site focuses on questions such as how long a shift lasts, what time a planned shift ends, how to total a time card, how to convert minutes to decimal hours, and how common schedule patterns look on a calendar.

We deliberately keep the site focused. The calculators do not estimate taxes, wages, legal entitlements, benefit eligibility or payroll deductions. Where a tool uses a planning target such as 40 hours, the page explains that the number is an input or example rather than a legal definition.

Why the calculations are transparent

A useful calculator should make it possible to verify the answer. Calculator pages therefore explain the inputs, the core arithmetic, common mistakes and a worked example. When assumptions matter—such as treating Monday through Friday as workdays or rolling an overnight shift into the following day—the assumption is stated rather than hidden.
